1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chunky peanut butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream butter and sugar, then add peanut butter; beat until thoroughly blended. Add egg and vanilla; beat mixture until light and fluffy. Add sifted mixture, small amounts at a time, beat until smooth. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill thoroughly for easier handling. Roll into balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Press with fork. Bake 10-12 minutes.
