Flan Cake

I have made this for many Christmas Eve family parties and everyone loves it.

1 yellow cake mix
1 can Sweet and condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
4 eggs
1/4 cup of caramel topping (I like to use more!)
sliced almonds

Beat the 4 eggs in a bowl. Add the milk. Mix well. Set to the side. Mix cake according to directions on the box. Generously grease and flour bundt cake pan. Pour 1/4 cup caramel topping into the bottom of the cake pan. (it helps to heat the caramel first). Pour cake mix into the pan. Pour the egg and milk mixture into the cake mix trying to stay in the middle of cake batter. The milk mixture will sink to the bottom of the pan with just a slight ring staying near the top. Place pan in the middle of a shallow pan of water and place in the oven. Cook at 375 for about 1 hour 10 minutes or until cake is golden brown and firm to the touch. (When I touch the cake and it is still jiggly I cook for another 15 minutes and keep doing that until it feels right). Stick knife into the cake to test for firmness. When you are able to remove the knife and it is clean the cake is really ready. Let cool for 45 minutes. Place serving dish n top of bundt pan and flip it all over. Cake will slide out. There will be cake on the bottom and a flan (pudding) layer on top with caramel dripping down. Top with sliced almonds.
